DreamHost Wiki
I couldn't find any news articles about companies using wikis for collaboration, but I remembered that my church's website host has a wiki for information specific to DreamHost.
wiki.dreamhost.com allows users to add and edit information just like any other wiki out there. It has specific information on how DreamHost does things, but also has the combined general web hosting knowledge of all its users. If you're trying to do something with your website that is hosted on DreamHost, chances are you'll find the answer there. If not, you can always go to the forum and ask.
It's a MediaWiki site, just like Wikipedia. Therefore, it looks, feels, and acts similarly to Wikipedia. If you're really familiar with Wikipedia, you won't have any trouble navigating through DreamHost's wiki.

Introduction to ME!
Hi, I'm Trevor Gruber. I'm a Sophomore at WWU and I'm an American Sign Language-English Interpreting Major taking an MIS Minor. I'm involved in several clubs. I'm a leader in Cru, Co-President in International Justice Mission, Treasurer for Hands Up, and a singer in First Impressions.
It looks like Blogger pulled in my Google Account's profile, so you can find some more interesting tidbits about me there.
One of my favorite sites is one I created. Since I was like 8 (maybe younger, I don't remember), I've helped my father manage my church's website (when it was written in hard-coded HTML and each page had to be updated manually. We had body files, plus header and footer files so we only had to edit the header or footer in one file. We then used a Command Script to concatenate the files into a complete webpage. Of course, if we wanted to update the header or footer, we had to re-upload the entire website via FTP, but that's all in the past. The summer before I entered my Freshman year of college, I completed my church's new website using a CMS (Content Management System) and now perform fewer weekly tasks than I did before. We now have a group of people who are able to manage the website and my father and I (the super-admins) can control what certain people can or can't do.

Another favorite site is www.tonedeafcomics.com. It's a music/marching band/drum corps comic that updates every MWF. Occasionally, the author will get real creative and productive and have a week where he updates everyday. He has a terrific sense of humor and really understands music well. I believe he's a composer and former band director. He makes references to Lord of the Rings (he has a poster comparing each member of a band to LOTR characters. It's fantastic), Star Wars, and other pop culture knowledge. If you enjoy music, I strongly suggest you check it out.
Finally, I love wiki sites about my favorite TV shows. When there's something I need to check about the show because I can't remember exactly what happened in a certain episode or I forgot something about a character, I go there. stargate.wikia.com. tardis.wikia.com. warehouse13.wikia.com. All these sites contain detailed information about each character, episode, and other important parts. I know in the case of Doctor Who, there are comics, other prose writings, and audio stories that greatly expand the amount of information known about the DW universe beyond what the TV show can give us. All of that information is also in the wiki. People can blog on these websites and the sites also serve as a central place for news about the show too.
